This week we were reading chapter 5 and 6 Will Henry and Beanpole are on a journey as the meet some new people along the way. Will, Henry , and Beanpole are found by french men. They bring them to a castle and take care of them. Sadly the plan that Beanpole made didn't work because Will accidentally said it in his sleep. Luckily these people don't care.
In class we had to answer two questions. the first on was "How do the tripods control the people?" The tripods control the people by the caps that they are giving to every human that is over 13. This happens once a year when a capping ceremony takes place in the summer. Will and Henry were going to be capped but then they ran away from home.
During this time, Will gets many different feelings that he has never had before. When he met a girl named Eloise he was really happy, because she was very nice all the time, She even taught him how to read and speak french ' I was easier than I had expected; we had plenty of time at our disposal, and she was a patient teacher.' But after the second day of the tournament Eloise came to his room and said that she had to serve the tripods, she said that she was happy to. Will was really sad and angry that Eloise was capped.
