This week on lit. circles we were talking about chapters 4-9. They were mainly about two subjects the first one is when Zachariah gave Charlotte the dirk, (knife) to protect herself. At first she wouldn't take it but, Zachariah pleaded her to take it and put it under her matress. Since her bed was just a matress on the floor that was easy.Also Zachariah wanted Charlotte to be his finale friend. It means that when he die's she will have to sew a hammock and wrap him in it. Sadly, she wanted nothing to do with him.
The second main part was when she was invited to Captain Jaggery's cabin. It was completly different than the rest of the ship. It had beautiful photos and the wall was painted and the room was fancy. Charlotte thought that she could trust him and so she did. She showed him the dirk and he asked her who she got it from. She didn't want to tell on Zacharaih so she said that she got it from Mr. Grummage. Captain Jaggery said that he didn't know the man.
At the end of the chapters Captain Jaggery told Charlotte that if saw a round robin she would have to tell him straight away. He said it could save their lives. This was very shocking. A round robin is like a coin with a hole in it but it has signitures all over it.
